Personal Data Processing Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal data, under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012.

01. Data controller

GeoSmart S.A.S., tax ID (NIT) , domiciled in Calle 200 #12-440, Floridablanca, Santander, is the controller of the personal data collected through this website.

This policy is governed by Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013. The Spanish version prevails in case of discrepancy.

02. Data we collect

Through the contact form we collect only the data you provide voluntarily:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Company or organization (optional)
  • The content of the message you send us

We do not collect sensitive data or data from minors through this site.

03. Purposes of processing

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your requests, enquiries and quote requests
  • Establishing commercial contact and following up with clients and prospects
  • Preparing proposals and delivering contracted services
  • Complying with legal, accounting and contractual obligations

We do not use the data for purposes other than those stated here without obtaining a new authorization.

04. Rights of the data subject

Under article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012, as the owner of your personal data you have the right to:

  • Access, update and rectify your personal data
  • Request proof of the authorization granted, except where the law does not require it
  • Be informed, upon request, about how your data has been used
  • File complaints with the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce for breaches of the law
  • Withdraw your authorization and/or request deletion of the data, where no legal or contractual duty prevents it
  • Access your processed personal data free of charge

05. Procedure for enquiries and complaints

You may exercise your rights by writing to info@geosmart.com.co, stating your name, the contact details where you wish to receive a reply, and a clear description of your request.

Enquiries are answered within a maximum of ten (10) business days from receipt. If that is not possible, we will inform you of the reasons and the date on which it will be addressed, which will not exceed five (5) business days after the first deadline.

Complaints are answered within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days from the day after receipt. If that is not possible, we will inform you of the reasons and the date on which it will be addressed, which will not exceed eight (8) business days after the first deadline.

06. Authorization

By ticking the authorization box on the contact form, you declare on a prior, express and informed basis that you authorize the processing of your personal data in accordance with this policy.

We keep a record of each authorization granted, including the accepted text, the version of this policy and the date of submission, as proof of consent.

07. Processors and data transfers

We use Formspree to operate the contact form. It acts as a data processor and stores information on servers located outside Colombia.

We use Google Analytics to measure site usage, with prior user consent managed through the cookie banner.

08. Effective date

This policy is effective as of September 8, 2026 (version 2026-09-08).

Any substantial change will be announced through this website.
